Dr. Wycliffe Baird

Dr. Wycliffe Baird is a senior medical doctor with more than five decades of distinguished service in family medicine, emergency care, and community health leadership. After migrating from St. Kitts to Canada in 1964 to pursue medical studies, Dr. Baird earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis University in Nova Scotia, followed by his Medical Degree from Dalhousie University in 1972.
He established a family practice in Mississauga, Ontario, where he has served patients continuously for over 53 years, while also holding hospital privileges and working extensively in emergency medicine at Trillium Health Centre. His professional experience includes aviation medicine and international medical flights, as well as long-standing service on the Board of Peel Family Services. Dr. Baird was the first community leader to raise funds for his local hospital, contributing to the foundation of what is now the Trillium Hospital Foundation.
Beyond Canada, Dr. Baird dedicated significant time to global medical outreach, spending one week each month for nearly a decade providing medical services in St. Kitts, and participating in medical missions in Ghana to care for underprivileged patients. He is a co-founder of the Dialysis Clinic in Ghana, established to address the critical need for renal care and to improve long-term health outcomes in the region.
